Great write up the story kept me reading the whole way wanting to see the outcome
Your wife is a hell of a shot and picked the bull she wanted way to go
Congrats
I think putting the old guys on the hunts saves the animals as they cannot access the country like the young guys therefore increasing the overall age class. Preserving the animals so there are more for the next generation
Always two ways to look at something
This is exactly why I do Euro mounts no one is going to want my mounts that I shot unless some liar comes along and concocks some story about him shooting them.
My son wants the two mounts I have as well as my Elk Euro mounts I'm sure the rest will be given away. I also have the two fish...
I know that Wyoming does one thing better than Utah and that is in the application process. At the end they offer you several ways to donate to wildlife. One being wildlife crossings which I donated to as it is one of best ways I believe to help out wildlife. Makes me sick when I see all those...
I was just looking for 24 and they have increased the bull tags a lot 11 tags for bulls and an new #13 hunt period adding additional 3 bull tags all at Grizzly Island
Herd must be increasing
Going for Tule this year with max points here in California. Drawing Grizzly is a random at best when there is only one tag for each hunt period.
There are other Tule zones with better odds
I had the X9-a tag a few years ago the fishing is off the hook there so if you draw bring a pole for afternoon fishing.
Saw a lot of small bucks only one good forked buck in three weeks. Fun hunt beautiful area be ready altitude took me about three days to get adjusted to it.

When I was ten my Dad said if you finish your chores and homework you can go hunt down at the Jordan River for Pheasants and ducks. So off I go with my shotgun on my handlebars riding down 59th...
Good on the math you forgot the moose and sheep points I put in for years before realizing that I would never draw in my lifetime.
Also you assume a lot, you know nothing about me, or what I do. You know what they say about assuming
Yes at $7 a point so you have put in a whopping $364 for both sheep and moose while I have put in $2800 in half that time. Quite the difference.
I don't want to move to Wyoming I just want to hunt it a couple of times before I die.
So who is entitled here the resident who doesn't give two...
And I will howl like a mashed cat if this happens. WTF did I buy points for a dream hunt for years to only have it taken away from me now that I am retired.
I am not one of those hunters who assume that they are owed anything but if you paid for it you should receive what you paid for.. Period...
Did anyone else receive an invitation to attend the meeting in Dubois Wyoming discussing wildlife crossings, mule deer, habitat, hunting heritage. I would go in a minute if it wasn't 850 miles away.
Especially the wildlife crossings
