Bow Sight Opinions

I'm in the process if building a new setup for this coming season. For the past 12 years I have used the Spot Hogg 7 pin fixed. (Western game hunter) I like the quick ability to shoot out to farther distances for follow up shots, etc, but have realized the need for more precision if I have the time pre-shot to dial a slider. I have narrowed down my choices to either a Montana Black Gold or an Option Archery sight. I really like the black Gold pin brightness, but also really like the ability to open the housing on an Option sight and declutter the sight picture.

I have not recently handled an Option sight and am wondering how bright their pins are in comparison to a black Gold? Any thoughts?

I've been running the Hogg Father double pin MRT slider for years. It's durable as heck and the fiber optics are bright. You can run whatever size diameter pins you'd like. I'm sure most sights are very good these days, but I have not had a reason to switch.

I use a 4 pin slider from HHA. I use their products on all my bows since about 2017 when they overnighted a part during a hunt ( range dial and new tapes ) for free on a used sight not even purchased originally by me. They do a 40 percent discount for military also.

Ended up going with the Option 8. It seems pretty bright, (not as much as the MBG but still good) and the ability to dial a single open while retaining the option of having fixed pins is really nice. Just waiting on the bow and then I can mount it and try it out. One thing is for sure, the speed goats are in trouble this year!
