AZ 24B

I have a friend that plans on taking me out, but just in case our days off don't jive, or some other unforeseen circumstance.... What can folks tell me about 24B? I have archery hunted near Queen Valley the past 2 years, and have yet to see a deer. That's the extent of my knowledge in that Unit...

Better to take a look up around Tonto/Black Brush, or over off the lakes.

Look at the G&F webpage and it will give all the information that you need. In my opinion, you can not beat the wilderness area for number and quality of deer but you have to walk your butt off. Walk in to a high point and glass until you find deer. You will find deer just be prepared for snow, windy days, and cold weather. Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Marshall, I haven't hunted the Superstitions in the last couple years but I know that there are some nice bucks up over the ridge by Usery Pass. There is a locked gate in there that you have to get a permit to go through and there are some nice bucks in there. I'll try to find out the name of it again and who you get the permit from. If you ever need anyone to tag along let me know. I didn't draw anything again this year. Good luck.
