My boy's first deer!

Here are some shots of the deer my kid got up in Elko. Sure puts my first one to shame. He killed it at 202 yards with one shot from a 6mm Remington. I think he's hooked now. Enjoy! I hope I get these pics right. Somebody please help if they're wrong. Thanks,

Congratulations, great looking buck, especially for his first deer. Looks like a nice size body on him as well. I can't wait until my son gets his first. Hopefully soon.

Is that a Remington Model 788? I have a 788 in 6mm. Great shooter. (mine now has a fiberglass stock)

Awesome. Trophy pictures don't come any better than that. My son is 14 and this is his first year to hunt whitetails here. Opener is a week from today and he's so excited he can't stand it.

Thanks to all of you for your responses. Sorry I hadn't got back to respond sooner.(Outta town for the week). All the praise and kind words have made him enjoy it even more. I is an experience that you first time Dads will never forget either. I'm not sure who was prouder. Thanks again,

PS. Yes it is a model 788 Remington. It was my first rifle when I was his age....now I can hand it down.

Congratulations Justin. What a great buck. This also puts my first deer to shame. Your dad is very proud of you. He was showing off the pictures at work on Monday. I Have been watching this little guy grow up over the last 6 or 7 years. He is a good kid. I have posted a picture from 5 years ago of the deer I took with the help of BigFly.
