West desert deep creek

Just curious what the terrrain is like out there? Always wanted to go out and check it out. Just wanted a idea of what to expect for a weekend outing as far as the terrain.

Lots of people and very few deer. The reservation is where the big deer live, or atleast what is left of them. The cats and the amount of hunters have taken a toll on the deer herd.

I don't think I would go deer hunting there, but its nice remote country, a compact 12,000 ft high great basin mountain range,there are some nice creeks, aspens and pines grow up high, and there are some cool rock formations in some of the canyons.

Sounds like a it would be worth the drive to check it out. I dont have a tag this year just wanted to get out and see some new country. Thanks for all the info.

Its all desert until you get up high, then you will be in the pines and quakes. Alot of it is very rugged. If you are just going to check it out, bring a fly rod with you and fish the creek... you will have a blast.

More coyotes then you can shake a stick at, bring your gun and kill some if you get a chance.
