Handicap/Vet Elk Hunt

To anyone out there! I am looking to book an elk hunt for 2011 for my step-dad and myself in Idaho. He is a resident there and has never shot an elk or a decent buck. He is a disabled vet who is very limited on walking but can ride a horse (has a few) and is willing to do what it takes to get the job done as much as he can. His health isn't getting any better and has mentioned on numerous occasions on getting his elk. I am an avid hunter myself and live in Nevada but getting him an elk tag there is near impossible so I am putting some feelers out there. I would like to book a hunt for him with an outfitter who is patient, understanding, and willing to work to get my dad the elk he deserves. I am intereted in booking as well as, and have never shot a bull either so it would be great to share that experience together as a first for both of us. If anyone knows an outfitter who accomodates disabled hunters in Idaho please let me know so I can start the process. Also outfiters ouside of Idaho with aceess to landowner tags might be an option as well. Thanks, Ed. [email protected] or 775-980-5007

You guy's may want to consider NM. Draws can be better than most expect when applying thru an outfitter, also LO tags are an option

Yes, Bucks-n-bulls outfitter. They are out of Springerville AZ. The guy you want to talk to is Jody Tapia his # 928-587-6990

If you are wanting to apply this year you have until the 7th of April.
There are also other outfitter listings on the NM site. Most of the guy's will TRY to be honest. Just be careful of "to good to be true" kind of stuff. I know many outfitters there, if you want, ask me about them!
