unit 51 New Mexico

I drew a Unit 51 early bow tag. Sept 1-15th. Needing some help on where to start. Never have hunted in New Mexico. i figuring on it being hot and not much rut action quite yet. I am planning a coupld of scouting trips down there pre season, just need a place to start looking. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
