I hunted Maral stag in Mongolia and the bulls roar, not bugle.
My Brother and I both took good 6x6 bull as an add-on to our sheep hunt. Well worth the time. It's a great experience.
I hunted with Gala, who is now very famous as a sheep outfitter. He was just an interpreter when I was there years ago.
We saw hundreds of "elk" in just 2 days. It was incredible!

This was taken in Northern Italy. Just like Zeke said about the Maral Stag, these Red Stag also roar. Its a diffrent experiance come september listening these guy roar back and forth all over the valley.
