Well i just looked and the DWR took all my elk points. I guess i can believe it now. Bookcliffs here we come!!!!!!!!

Its the roaded unit. My wife killed a great bull out there last year with her bow, i posted it on here last september, "wifes bookcliffs bull". Should be a blast. I enjoyed following your elk hunt last year elkhunter96, any luck in drawing this year?

No luck for me this year, I put in for a hard draw hunt since I had so much fun last year and didn't want to burn my points yet. I have a good friend who pulled an archery deer tag for the books, so I will be out there some this year. I also have some cousins who may draw the roadless LE rifle elk since they have tons of points.

I saw your wife's bull, it was absolutely huge. Just out of curiosity, did you ever get it scored?

I chased one like it for close to a week, but could never get closer than 120 yards. Too many cows around him with too many eyes. I was still very very happy with the bull I took and had an amazing hunt. There is just so much land out there to hunt. I have my thoughts on the area you hunted in based on the pictures and talking with locals who know the area much better than I do...

Yuh know i would but he owes me for guiding him on Dolores triangle last year! HA HA He just happens to be my partner and im sure he'll be out there as much as he can. Elkhunter96 her bull scored in the mid 360's, i need to get him officialed for her I guess.
