drew 3a 3c archery in arizona sept hunt need info

Hellow fellow elkaholics. I play the points game all over the west and I finally drew a tag. Looking for anyone who has archery hunted in 3a 3c or nows somthing about the unit. Sept will come fast and any info will be greatfully appreciated

Congrats doubledrop i have never hunted 3A 3C so i can't help but that is some great looking country and i have heard some great things about that unit.I hunted unit 1 last year and had a great hunt you should to, good luck and hope you get some info.

DOUBLEDROP....CONGRATS, FROM WHAT I HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE UNIT IS YOU MIGHT HAVE TO BE PATIENT TO KILL A THUMPER BULL....THEY ARE THERE. THE UNIT HAS A GOOD POPULATION OF SMALLER/YOUNGER 5 & 6 POINT BULLS ALSO. 3A3C WAS ONE OF THE UNITS I RESEARCHED HARD, GUIDES HAVE GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT IT TOO. I SIT ON 15 POINTS FOR 2012....I MIGHT BE GOING TO A DIFF. UNIT NEXT YEAR.......GOOD LUCK......YD.

I've hunted 3C several times. take a nice buck out of there, and during my hunts, I've seen some nice bulls.. 2 years ago, I have a nice 6X6 walk with in 25 feet of me. Stopped, gave me a quick glance and walked on... Must have known he wasn't targeted.. Good luck on your hunt, best advise I can say is, Scout...

hi tnanks for getting back to me about 3a 3c the maps i just order have arived buy not 3a but most people say to leave the 3a side alone and hunt 3c. any mountain or area on the map that you think i should check out just let me know thanks

hi kelco Thanks for getting back to me. my map of 3c just arrived. Do you think 3a should be looked at, most people say the better and more elk are in 3c. But that makes me wonder if you could find a sleeper bull in 3a. less people. Now that I have a map can you give me any info on certain draws or springs or canyons or roads that you would hunt. Hopefully those fires are not a danger to you or where you live. I cannot believe how much it has burned.
