The story... We usually hunt Muzzleloader but my sons decided this year we would try the rifle.....I got to our camp spot Friday afternoon and set up camp as it got dark it began to snow and then my two sons arrived about 9:00 that night full of antisipation of a great hunt! Ww woke up the next morning to about 6 inches of snow... We fired up the wheelers and road to a place that I thought was the end of the road and begin hiking... being the old guy I couls not keep up with boys so I lagged behind in a spot that looked pretty good where we've seen deer at durring the muzzleloader. After it began to get light I heard 3 shots... The shots sounded like they came from a different direction then where my sons were hunting.... but a few minutes later I got call on the radio that Jake had shot a nice buck and to bring the 4 wheeler around to the bottom of the canyon and they would drag the deer down to the road... It was jakes first deer with rifle and he was excited and Jared his brother was just as excited... what a great time and a great family tradition.
