I finally drew out on Fillmore Pahvant(Early) any weapon and have not hunted this area before. I have Scouted the area a few time and only spotted small Bull's.

Anyone willing to share information about canyons that typically hold the bigger bulls? Any information would be appreciated.

I drew the Pahvant muzzle tag this year and have only been once this year....Saw tons of cows and calves......small bulls as well......Hoping to see more bulls and elk this weekend while bow hunting! Good luck!

Your hunt is only a month away, so it's a little late for early scouting as the archery hunt will start this weekend.

We have been seeing several decent bulls in the 330-350 Class but not too many bigger than that (No 400s).

You can hunt the South End, The North end, or low lands. The South has the best access, and it seems like a ton of bulls. The North is really steep, but also has a ton of elk. The North end requires a bit of scouting or you will have a hard time with the terrain and finding the elk.

I would suggest you head down south out of Joseph and head up the mountain. Get a map and you shouldn't have a hard time finding bulls.

We found bulls from the top to the bottom and from south to north when we hunted it in 2006. I'm not a Pahvant expert at all but I was surprised to find good bulls almost everywhere. The really top-end bulls are more scarce though and require a ton of searching.
Good luck on your hunt. It's almost here!

heres a pahvant bull I've been watching and he's in an out of the way area. Its a really isolated spot. So they are in there.
