Book Cliffs bucks

Anyone been down to the books lately scouting for deer? Any pics?

I've been over there scouting for elk and there are deer everywhere, especially up high.
I've seen a bunch of mediocre bucks and 2 that are going to be really nice, pushing 28" or 30".

I'm going down the second week in august to take a look, i have a muzzle loader tag in the books this fall.

I have been out there some all summer. Haven't seen anything that I would write home about. As always, you will see plenty of 23-24 inch bucks and a few larger ones.

muzz tag is the best hunt to have.

How many points does it really take to get an archery tag in the books now. I have heard many different numbers.

Last year it took 7pts for res and 8pts for non-res to guarantee an archery tag in the Book Cliffs.

I think it was 7 points for a guaranteed tag. I got lucky this year and drew with 5. What makes the muzzleloader tag the best for the books tooele?
