Got it done! 24" thirds. 45" wide.

There've been some pretty sweet Wasatch bulls taken this year. Yours included. Great job, and thanks for sharing.

+1. No reason to sit waaaay behind a bull like that. Sweet bull. Who shot the left main beam just above the second brow?

Congrats.

I looks shot but it is just a white streak. He sat back to get in the center of the pic. Not trying to add size. Big enough on it's own!

Thanks everyone for the congrats. It was an absolutely unreal hunt. A huge thank goes to my two brothers, Mike & Case, and Cade for coming and letting me use his 270 short that did a killer job. Not bad for my first!!! Still seems like a dream.

Thanks Paul. One reason I married my wife is because she hunts. The second she saw the photos she said it's her turn, so thankfully yes. It's goin' in the house.

You bet.
Mike & Kade woke up at 3 AM and drove from Central Utah to meet Casey and I at 5:30. We headed straight to the canyon that we would spend most of the day in.
At first light we climbed a ridge and got into a couple herd, but couldn't get a good shot on a very nice herd bull. He followed his cows around the ridge about a quarter mile away. We sneaked in but unfortunately bumped him. He was gone. By this time it was about 10AM, so we got to the very top of the same ridge to glass. We waited patiently until about 2:30PM when we saw the same bull from earlier that morning cross a meadow 1000+ yards away. Before we could get into position for a shot he disappeared inside the trees. Gone again!
We stayed put waiting for him to come back out until 5:15 when we spotted a bull with 7 cows three ridges away. We could see he had excellent thirds and good fourths, so we made the decision to get on the bull we could currently see. We covered the 1.75 miles in a half hour (over two ridges) and got into position on a ridge line opposite the herd of 7 cows. The bull was in the trees but gave out a strange bugle every few minutes, so we knew he was still around. We waited 1 hour 15 minutes until he finally kicked out the last two cows and stepped into the open. Game over. 400 yard shot with a Christensen Arms 270 short.
The day was full of highs and lows both physically and mentally, but in the end we came out with a bull of a life time. So fun and so worth it.

Great Bull, Sounds like you ran into a few good bulls in that canyon. Congrats on a good hunt.
