Looks like it was cleaned and bleached

Thats a huge buck.

You guys sure that isnt a picture of a buck that was killed on a different year.

Just curiouse what hunt he killed that deer on. All the archery hunts ended on September 27 up there and up until around October 12 all the bucks were still sporting their velvet. That buck has definitely been rubbed off for some time.

Is that ethical?

AZ.... on the muleycrazy chat forum....

That is one nice buck!

Skull does look real clean but plenty of time to clean it up since the end of the bow dates in late September.

Velvet bucks in mid-October.....huh?

I hunted down there the entire archery season half the time with Ryan himself and i would say more than half the bucks were hard horned. He watched that buck all summer long and knew a whole lot about its habits. gal Dan Hatch, Ryans nephew called me the day he shot it. i can promise you he took that buck legaly. how come anytime someone kills a great buck it has to be poached? and if you still dont believe that it was legal the whole story will be in his magazine.

That's just the way it is on here man, people question EVERYTHING. Plus, Ryan has had some troubles in the past so maybe people are a little skeptical. But I don't doubt for a second this was taken legally. He's so knowledgeable, he was bound to arrow a monster out there sooner or later. Congrats to him.

I bow hunted there this year and about half the bucks were hard-horned, including the one I killed.

I'm not sure why the mystery on linking other sites, but go to google and paste this:

"Ryan Hatch" 221 "bowsite"

I was hunting the sept bow season in 13a and i would say 75% of the bucks were hord horned by the end of the hunt. My buddy killed a 175 buck on the 24th and he had been hard horned for a while.

he spends more time on the strip than anyone else! no doubt he killed it legally i bet its just been bleached! ive heard some of the story to!

I'm sorry but I really think all you Ryan skeptics are just jealous! The guy finds, kills and or is associated with more giant bucks then anyone and he has a great magazine to boot. Just face the facts he is one of the best mule deer hunters to walk the planet. Congrats to Ryan on killing yet another super buck

huntinco: hear - hear! the dude has dedicated his life to monster muley hunting! made some mistakes? Yup, but haven't we all? personally I'll take ryan over most of the bullsh!t crap I see some of the other guide outfits do!

post script: I can't afford any of them guy's so this is just a honest opinion!

I say congrats! Great buck Ryan.

I too have heard and read all the stories about him, and I'm still gonna give props for his muley skills, as well as his magazine. Kinda funny, everybody seems to comment on his chute plane antics, but never seem to comment on the work he and his team to to benefit mule deer, such as repairing/adding water tanks, raising money for MDF, etc.

When it was time to renew my subscription last year, I called and he answered the phone, and proceeded to talk about muley's with me for over an hour, and he was up against his magazine deadline. He didn't treat me like a customer, he treated me like I was just another muley fanatic and was really accomodating of all my questions, etc.

Great buck!

Ryan may be a lot of things, but he ain't fool enough to risk his career to kill a monster. Definately legit. Dip a skull in the right solution and let er sit in the sun for a spell and it'll be alot whiter than Ryans buck in question. Any taxi with brains will tell ya that buck is legit this year.
