colorado season choice 7 points

i have 7 colorado points. i think its about time to cash them in and hunt . how about some opinions of if i should reserch seasons 2-3 or 4. im looking for a 185 + buck i really like to hunt open desert type country. rifle only because i really like to bowhunt for elk in sept. at home here in idaho. unless of course az is kind to me this year. i dont need to see allot of deer, i can stay enthused pretty easy with minimal sightings. season 2 in a better unit vs 4 in a mediocre unit. just remember i am used to hunting general season in idaho, so i will probably be easy to impress. Unit 61...Third season...Atkinson Mesa...

You most likely wouldn't draw 61. You could hunt one of the Gunnison Basin units 3rd season (54, 53,55 or 66 2nd season). The potential for 185 is there easily. That being said, the basin is a shadow of what it was four or five years ago.
