Right after my Henry's hunt and after downloading all my pics my computer crashed. We thought we had lost all of my "during the hunt" pics that I had taken with my small camera but my computer knowledgeable friend was able to somehow get a few pics off my old computer last week. Here's a few pics that I thought were cool.

This was a buck that we found. This pic is taken through a spotting scope and then zoomed in. This buck is probably close to 600 yards away and this is what he looked like when we found him. We thought he was dead.

And here he is after about an hour of watching him. He has alot of little kickers that you can't see well in this pic but we figured he would've gone a little over 200".

OK, so what's the rest of the story? Bang you got him and he's on your wall? Or after his snooze he winded you? Or he jumped up and started trailing a "hot" doe?

What happened Marley?

LAST EDITED ON Jul-22-11 AT 08:09PM (MST)[p]I saw this same buck the night before opening day with 2 other bucks. One was a 32-33 wide typical, this guy, and a huge nontypical. This was the only buck we could see on opening day but knew the other two had to be around close. We watched this buck for about 2 hours before he stood up and started walking away and the other 2 bucks stood up from the tree above him and I smoked the big nontypical. This is where I sat for 2 hours. He was hiding in the trees near the top.

Thats a great shot of the North end of Ellen Marles!! Any chance that you got your bucks teeth Aged???

This was the pack out. The frame pack busted on the way out and we had to improvise with lots of parachute cord. This is one of my favorite pics though that I thought I lost with the computer crash.

I spotted a buck last year that was laying like that in the snow. I thought somesone had killed him. There was also a doe laying near him. I think she was on the look out while he slept cause when i took a couple steps towards them she huffed and they both jumped up and took off.

Great buck by the way, I wish i could get a tag down there but im stuck in the elk game...

Cool pics Marley. You need to post more pics of your buck, some people may not have seen it yet. Maybe if you'd kill smaller bucks, your frame pack would still be in good shape!:)

Here is a pic in camp with my dad who got to watch the whole thing through the spotting scope over my shoulder like he was sitting there with me. He heard us screaming in the radio before he heard the boom from my rifle.

Everytime I see that buck it keeps looking better and better. Congrats on the hunt again! Did you ever decide on a caliber for the next rifle build?

Nice, Congrats.

Government doesn't fix anything and has spent trillions proving it!!!
Let's face it...After Monday and Tuesday, even the calender says WTF!

Wow, what a buck. I sure hope I can at least see something like that in the wild before my days are done!

Marley-

Thanks for the "end of the story"... Wow, what a pig. Have you gotten your mount back yet?

On opening day at first light I saw a buck that almost brought tears to my eyes to pass up. But I had seen the big fish jump and wanted him only. I found out later that a woman that drew the Henry's tag as well had taken the buck I passed on opening morning. I saw him at the SLC expo and got to see him up close. I hope she doesn't mind me posting a pic of the buck. He's a stud and congrats to her because he was in a tough place to get too. Tough walking away from something like this.

My buck has been finished. He was done by Tory Brock in Utah and he looks as good as the day we found him. Thanks guys for the comments.

marley everytime I see your buck I think you should have held out :) just kidding. He's a smoker for sure. Again congrats man!!

You have bigger Kahonas then my passing that buck up on opening morning. Any idea what is scored? Your buck looks awesome.

Check out the trash on that buck. Love racks with tons of character.
That is one badass looking buck.

I would not have any regrets with your buck. Very nice buck and congrats. Thanks for sharing the pics and the story.

If I remember right her buck scored 209. Only on the Henry can you walk away from a buck like that. Had I not already seen the buck I got, he would've died in the first hour of opening day.

Wow Nice bucks, I would have a hard time walking away from that buck too. But it worked out good for you.

Marley, you have gahones of steel man! You came out with one of the coolest bucks I have seen and it looks like you made one hell of a shot. Congrats on an awesome buck!

The fact you passed on that buck is pretty amazing. I guess the memory of those main beams and G3's won the day. Cool story!

Thanks guys for the comments. We got about 30 mins. of video of that other trashy buck and as we picked up and walked away I kept saying over and over in my head, "What am I doing....you're frickin crazy." At the SLC expo. I was talking to another guide and he said that they had nicknamed my buck "Fronts". Fitting name for the 28 1/2 inch main beams and the 14 1/2 inch G4s. This past spring the 2009 sheds from my buck were found by a guy in Utah. It was cool to see his growth. He put on 20 inches in 1 year.
