On the advice of Trix4Me- I thought I'd ask anyway where I might find some deer in the evenings, in the North End of the Books...??

I'm in Vernal and Roosevelt for work and I have plenty of time in the evenings to take a ride. I just don't know the North End of the Books, or where to look for deer there...

Any help would be appreciated guys... Thanks I'll be here 2 more days

This time of year You'll have to go South up around the Divide!

They won't be there for the most part come Rifle Season!

For GAWDS Sakes Guys,We Got Kids on this Site,Some of them are 65 years Old!:D

I don't care if they're big or small!
If they throw lead I like em all!
:p

Ya the north half is not the place to go this time of year, You would have to go about 2 hours out before you start finding deer this time of year.

Okay the books didn't work out. Maybe one of you basin MMers can tell BR where to look at some nice bucks on Diamond. That would mean looking over a fence into private ground, but he should be able to see some nice bucks if things haven't changed too much since I was over there.

Dont know diamond, if you wanna go to the bookcliffs and drive the lower roads to learn them you might see some elk and probably a coyote. Wouldnt be a bad idea so your not going in blind.

Drive south on 45 through Bonanza, you will be to Upper Atchee and Rathold Country in a couple hours. Probably not a good after work drive, but throw in your sleeping bag and take a drive on the weekend. Should see nice bucks in UT and unit 21 CO when you get towards the state line.
