my son and friend both bought whitetails last year .45 cal.
I also shoot a white a super 91 .45, had it about 8 years. They have all been very accurate. The White's are easy to load no bullet starter required if you shoot white or noexcusses bullet.
I have never shot sabots out of them. If you got a .45 cal. try a 460 gr. bullet with 90 of pyrodex P. this load shhots real well out of all three guns mentioned above.

I don't think they will shoot a shotgun primmer but I think they come with a nipple brech plug that will take a musket cap.

I have owned a White Super 91 in .45 cal for about 10 or 12 years and they are great guns. I know lots of people that own them and have never heard a bad word. I would defenitely keep the gun and give it a chance.

They really are terrible guns, and don't shoot worth a darn. The 20 or so animals I shot, in the last several years, with my Whitetail SS 50 cal. were laughing at me right up until the bullet hit. Please let me do you a favor and take it off your hands (CHEAP!) before you waste your time trying to get it to shoot. I would hate to think of you suffering thru all those hours of pleasure (OOPS, I meant pain) trying to make it work!

Seriously, you will find it the best you have owned, and will have many years of great shooting with it. I was serious if you want to get rid of it, tho. I love mine and would never hesitate to get another.

The white rifles are very good guns, whoever told you bad things about them probably never owned one. I have a 50 cal. and have shot everything from prarie dogs to bull elk with it and have been nothing but amazed with the accuracy of this gun. If you want to hunt with a muzzle loader, I'm sure you will be very happy with this gun. I shot my bull elk in 2000 at 150 yds, one shot. You will be very happy with this gun!

talked with a guy who owns a small gun shop and who owns 15 muzzleloaders and says he's shot about every muzzleloader ever made and swears that hands down the white is the most accurate hardest hitting muzzleloader availaible. my brother bought one and found this to be true. The company has has been struggling some though, but i would'nt let that deter you from hold'n on to it
