LAST EDITED ON Jul-23-12 AT 08:21AM (MST)[p]For this buck, we go back about 8 years. One of my favorite all time bucks and best filming trips ever. We had this droptine buck on the left side of the truck, and another droptine buck with a mid 30's spread on the right side of the truck. Great day. After this buck dropped his 3 point side with the broken off droptine, he packed his other antler for almost 2 weeks.

I believe NvrEnuf has a photo of this buck with one side on.

It sure was nice back then to have a few BIG bucks running around. Hopefully things will turn around for the mule deer and we'll be able to see more like this one again.

Here are a couple pictures I have of the buck with 1 side. He was a long ways out so the pics are not that great. He looked pretty rough that year and as I understand it he was getting old (8 or 9 years). I don't think anyone was too suprised that he never made it back to winter the next year.

I really like this buck. Every time I think of a mule deer I will picture this buck. Man that would be a sweet set to find.

Yelum, maybe one Monday you can post pics of that "mid 30's drop tine" that was on the other side of the truck. That sounds like a heckuva buck too.

gznokes, it was a first for me too. But I did get to see two more dropper bucks together and both were better than either of these. They are rare for sure. I've only seen 7 droptine bucks in my life.
