2012 cache buck

me and my buddy have been watching this buck for 4 months. i spotted him opening morning but couldnt make it happen. we decided to be patient and wait him out. he came back out at 4:30 i made a 700 yards stalk to 270yds. he stood broadside and i made the shot count. my digital camera broke so these are off my cell phone.

Any guesses on score?

Wow, that is a heck of a buck! I would say he is going to score pretty good, atleast gross as he is very deep forked, I will take a quick guess and say mid to high 180's.

Wow, deep forks batman. I would guess high 170's. That rack is going to look HUGE on a euro mount. I am guessing that is your plan since you hacked off the head?

I hope to find his brother up there this week. Why would you butcher a cape on a Buck like that?

he took a nasty fall and ruined a lot of his cape. thats why there is no cape. sorry, i knew i would catch hell for that.

Ok, as long as theres a good reason. But I still would have let the taxi make the decision.

Ditto on moving in on him to make a good reasonable shot. That really is a good looking deer, and from pics I'd say better than 180.

i measured him last night and came up with a score that blew my mind, but had multiple people confirm the measurements. i want to see what everyone on here thinks he is.

I'm glad your preparation paid off. Congratulations.

My first guess was about 183. Hopefully he stretches more than that as many have suggested. I great buck for sure.
 
I think all you guys are anywhere from 20 to 30 pts. high.
I'll say 165-170 gross.
 
i looked and looked. the first face on pic doesn't make his frame look all that huge so i was thinking mid to high 170's

then the other photos really show the tine length and that first trail cam pic makes his frame look a LOT bigger, like possibly a 200" type deer.

I don't have a clue what this buck would score but i know i'da like to be the shooter!! :) Congrats!!

I would love to see your 200" bucks putgile because i will guarantee you that buck is alot closer to 200 than 170
 
I just killed a 170 and im telling you this deer has 20 inches on mine in fork depth alone
 
Only thing that buck lacks is Mass and longer eyeguards. Awesome buck and especially for that tag. I put him in the 190"s with the great tine length all around. Congrats on scouting a buck and sticking with him.

i came up with 201 1/2" three times and had two other people confirm the numbers. this is not official but good enough for me. 29" outside spread. im super pumped and very fortunate to have harvested this deer. thanks to my buddy chet for the help he provided your an awesome friend!

What an awesome buck my friend... Congrats..!!

He looks to have about 2" per tine on my 171" buck, plus the extra... I'd say he is about 190 2/8"

Where in the hell have you been Tag?
 
I had some surgery, to remove the pain in my azz, and apparently MM was the main cause of it.

I still lurk once in awhile, but in the name of paying the bills, the load time with the commercials aint worth seeing 120 class bucks on a site called MonsterMuleys. Not in this bucks case.

freaken sweet. next time you shoot a buck like that keep the cape. however the pack out of that spot does suck balls ;)
