I killed this buck the last few hours of the last day of the general season. I was looking for a different buck at the time, and was amazed to see such an incredible buck in an area with so much pressure.

I would be very interested in finding out a little history on this buck. If you have trail cam pics, velvet pics, sheds or just recognize him and are willing to share, send me a pm. He is a very unique buck and killed in the central region of utah. He was shot I believe on the muzz here is a pic of the hole through the hind quarters.

I owe a great big thanks to my friends, namely Koby and Tom for making it possible for me to harvest this animal.
Thanks guys, looks like I owe you again.

Are you freaking kidding me Corby? If that is the buck I think it is, then that is an old deer. I have pics of him 6 years ago, and he was 200 then.

Call me asap.

Only thing wrong with that buck (except that I didn't get it), is that your smile should be even bigger.

Congrats!

Within the shadows, go quietly.

Any of the Muzz Hunters gonna admit to a 500 yard Ass Shot?

Nice Buck!

Hello Mr. Wisz,This is the UDWR Calling....LMMFAO!
15" Bases?
30" 5ths?
GOOD GAWD A MIGHTY!

First of all congrats! Im shaking, dizzy and about to puke. I can barely type and my wife is laughing at me! I couldnt believe it when I seen these pics. I watched the buck all summer. I wounded him opening morning of the muzzleloader hunt. Some how between the weekend before the hunt and the opener my muzzleloader decided to shoot a foot right at 100 yards. I shot him at 170. Long story short, I knew I hit him but he left no sign. After looking for him I finally located him again about 4 days into the hunt. It was clear to see I hit him. Looked like high in the flank and mainly out his right hip although it also looked like a couple other various exit holes. He would lick his wounds every ten minutes or so and keep feeding. Afterwatching him for a couple hours he bedded. I made my move looping around playing the wind. Just as I was dropping in on him the wind switched and the other bucks he was with got antsy and they headed out. That was the last I ever seen. After looking for the buck many days I began to assume he had died. I was disgusted about the whole thing losing sleep having it haunt me all day everyday.

In the end all I can say is congrats on one hell of a buck. You are a very lucky guy. Of course I would be a liar if I said it didn't tear me up deep down but I'm really happy to know that this awesome old muley won't be suffering this winter.

I have some pretty good pics of him and some decent video as well. All the video is from the day he was up feeding around wounded so you can easily see the wounds.

What a buck! Well maybe I can get some sleep now. Then again, maybe not!

That buck had a bad year. Congrats to both of you. Great trophy ot have and also to know what happened to the buck. Those pics will be nice to have at least.

Congrats Corby. Persistance sure paid off.

There's always next year

WOW. Incredible. Absolute giant. That's what dreams are made of right there. And to the gentleman that hit him, I am so sorry. U must have been sick and probably still are but I think I can see why u didn't make a perfect shot. Holy moly. Congrats to the hunter and to the one that slowed him down a touch, best of luck to u in the future. GIANT

Congrats Corby, that is a stud of a buck!

Jray, thanks for stepping up and filling in the blanks. Could have been a much less happy ending to that story, now at least we have both closure and venison.

Best of Luck,
Jeff

I remember when you came into my office saying how bad you want to kill a monster. Well it looks like you did and that is PIG of a buck.

I truly believe that what comes around goes around. You were nice enough to share the pictures & video of the buck I shot in 2009 so I hope someone has pictures & video of your buck and share them with you.

This is why I love this site. All the cool photos. All the insight and advice. Then stuff like this. No way these dots would be connected if it weren't for mm. Awesome deer BTW!!
