Deer vs. Coyotes video from Tines up

Just got this on facebook. A bunch of coyotes pack hunting deer. For those still skeptical about the decline of deer being related to coyote populations here is yet another example.

Crazy footage for sure! I watched a mangy coyote take down a domestic sheep this fall while on the archery hunt. The sheep was twice the size of the coyote but because it ran the coyote hazed it away from the herd and then literally harassed it to death.
Make no mistake they are effective predators!

here is another similar video. http://youtu.be/93Npf02H0oc One time when I was bowhunting down in southern utah, I saw a very similar situation, when 3 coyotes took a fawn from it's mother. We watched the mom fight off the yotes for close to an hour. Finally they succeeded, and ate the fawn.

naa we dont have a coyote problem.

who farted?

A few years back I was out visiting my aunt and uncle in Wyoming. THey took me out for a drive to see the country. We saw something similar, but this was with antelope. THe antelope were actully running down the coyote pretty sure they killed it. Would have been cool to video tape.

They're really just a small wolf and a few of them can really do a lot of damage to fawns or even adult deer during the winter when the snow starts getting deep.

Am I the only one that would put the damned recorder down an make my way to a point where I can set up and pull the trigger on a couple of those coyotes? Especially since you can't really do anything about them while they are attacking, at least you can do after mom leaves and they are there noshing, give them some Winchester Cream Pie.

Yeah, if I'd had a rifle in my hands there would be some lead flying towards those nasty things. The value of the video as a teaching tool outweighs the value of shooting a couple coyotes though, so I'm glad they filmed it.
