This little guy hit the pavement on Sat Morning. We saw no sign of the big guy. The last 2 years he has left to go find love.

That sucks Yelum!

I got some pics of him just the other day. He is a unique little feller.

I've heard the big guy leaves for the rut. Hard to believe he makes it with the extended hunt going on. I'm going to make a couple of trips this week and see if I can find him. Seems like there are plenty of Does to love on right in the Cemetery.

I hope he is able to spread his genes and come back safely - meaning not hit by a car or killed by dogs, poachers, coyotes, or mountain lions. If he doesn't make it back because he is taken by a deserving hunter (someone with a legal tag, in a legal area, in legal hours, with legal equipment, etc.) then congrats to that hunter. I guess, technically, in that sense, coyotes and mountain lions fall into that "deserving" category too, I just hope he comes to a more noble demise than that.

Boy yelum u also had me going. I am going to say that now knowing he's out of his prison walls that everyone and there dog probably cat too are going to be up there looking for him. Me nope. I hope he makes it another year. To me he's earned that. I hope and pray for the hunting community that if he is taken it Is done legally and ethical. I can't imagine what the hunter that does end up taking him will have to go through just because he's been a pet for so long. Not worth it to me would rather see what he has to bring to the table next year.

Glad it wasn't the giant... I had the opportunity to film him on Oct 4, and he is everything and more than I expected...

As for him moving out of the cemetery for the rut, I frankly hope an archer gets a chance at him. What would really be a shame is for him to be killed by other animals, or to die from starvation, or to be hit by a car where he will rot away withour ever being truly appreciated and honored the way he would be by a deserving hunter...

I would rather he die of old age like most smart old bucks. Maybe even next to his favorite headstone.
