How Long Until...

With the recent post regarding that GIANT muzzleloader buck from CO that might become a new world record, I'm curious...

How long until someone buying an Antelope Island deer tag decides to use a Muzzleloader or Bow in order to possibly shoot new world records for those weapons..??

I think it is entirely possible that an archer takes a World Record Pope & Young animal from Antelope Island... And quite possibly a World Record Muzzy buck.

Is there anyone out there that would drop that kind of dough, and hunt with more primitive weapons in order to get higher, and possibly at the top, of a world record list..??

I'm not sure anything taken off Antelope Island would go in most of the record books. I know that Pope and Young doesn't recognize Antelope Island bison as taken fair chase.

The state record archery buck is 258, muzzy is 293, and rifle is 330, for NT. There is no chance any of these state records get broken on the island, let alone a world record. I don't see any state records being broken for typical or non typical out there, but if it happened, it would be a hard horned typical.

Interesting question here.
It sure seems as though Antelope Island has the potential to produce some deer of the caliber we are talking here.
It also brings up the question of which Pope and Young world record deer is more likely to be broken first....typical or nontypical...??
Thoughts?
