Colorado 61 3rd

I have a 61 3rd season buck tag. I've spent a fair amount of time in the unit but it's always been for elk.

I already have a number of areas in mind to hunt (Atkinson, Buck Tail, VH and Hank's Valley).

I'll be taking my camper over and hunting the entire season. I'll be using my truck, mountain bike and boots for transportation and plan on glassing till the eyes bleed:'(. I'm in fairly good shape and willing to go anywhere in the unit.

Anyone have any thoughts on the areas I'm leaning towards? How would you hunt these areas?

Any other areas you would hunt or recent big buck sitings?

I'm just leaving 61. Had a good hunt. Seen one good buck in the south. We hunted higher for the first couple days. We had better luck down lower. And less pressure. Seemed like the most deer we seen were in the pines that had oak brush in it . I'll send u a pm
