I'm headed to Las Vegas next week to head to RMEF elk camp and want to spend a day on the Arizona strip looking for mule deer bucks. I've never been there so I need some help as to some places to do some glassing. Thought it be fun since I'll be in the area on my way down.

Might try posting in the AZ forum and see if you get any help there. I was thinking the same thing as I'm from TN. I'll be in AZ in early Jan for the required Hunter Safety Course. Gonna add a couple days to the trip just to drive and glass. If I get any info, I'll let you know.

Swing by my booth when you are at Elk Christmas. Booth #650 Little Sportsman. We are introducing my new book there, The Elk Princess.

If you want to go to 13A, it is a 4 1/2-5 hour drive from Las Vegas. 13B is a bit closer and you access it from St. George. To get into 13A, you'll turn south just before the big green water tank just east/south of Colorado City. Find the grocery store and when the road turns from asphalt to dirt, keep going. Go right where it "T's" and then you'll eventually turn south (its pretty obvious where to turn south) onto Clayhole Road. That'll take you all the way down to the bottom of 13A. You should find bucks in Toroweep Valley, and along road 1001, out by the rim that separates 13A from 13B. Have fun, it's awesome country.
