unit 51 bow tag

I thought I had a tag for unit 53 but I checked and it is unit 51, right next to unit 52, (I keep getting 53 & 51 mixed up) any way it is advertised hunt the hunts and tags section here FYI.

It is a bow tag, unit wide, either sex unit 51

You should do fine !!! Had a ML tag 2 yrs. ago in 52 ,the same time as 51 rifle,anyway we heard a loud some thing walking down a slope near ,Hopewell lake,we set up hoping for a bull,turned out to be a hunter on a horse w/a .270 cal.& talked to him, turned out he was in hunter orange & us w/ camo ,we tried to convince him this is unit 52 not 51, we told him this unit runs south of hwy. 64 ,he told us we were wrong! we got out of there quick!

How did you do in 52 muzz? That is the hunt I am going on next year. Curious as to if the rut was on, hunting pressure and elk sightings. Were the puched far from the roads? Bow season they were almost always 1/2 mile min.

Just so everyone knows this tag is now listed on ebay (just do a search for "elk tag") and it is starting at $1 with no reserve meaning if no one bids on it you can get it for $1.

This is a unit 51 archery elk tag, unit wide. This is a good unit, right next to unit 52.

If you did not draw and want to hunt check it out.

FYI I still have the leftover bow tag, unit wide for unit 51 NM listed on ebay, right now it is $112.50, no reserve so it can go for that, ends sunday. I have a feeling it is going to go for only $200 which for a landowner permit in NM is great. Obviously I want to get a decent price but I doubt it will happen this close to the season so I would hope it goes to someone who otherwise could not hunt and will really appreciate it.

I would rather have someone I know get a great deal on my extra tag then a stranger.
