Well, I am still in NM, but thought I would post a photo of my bull. In 2 days I saw over 25 6x6's or better. I saw 2 bulls bigger than the one I killed. One at 350 yards, and one I passed about 10 times under 100 yards. We misjudged him small until we watched all thevideo we shot. We was probably 335. I'll post a story when I get home...and no...the gun isn't pointing at me, it's the camera angle.

Great looking bull, sounds like NM really does have its stuff together when it comes to big bulls.

Nice Bull there Tim, congrats to you on taking him. Is that or were you on a reservation Hunt? Still a great Bull though.

Got him on the Jicarilla. My group of 5 guys killed a 323 5x6 - a 318 6x6 - a 321 7x7 - my 322 7x6 and a decent 8x8 that wasn't scored. I had a bigger clean 6x6 at 350 yards that I didn't shoot because we were videoing and then the big 6x7 that we misjudged and I passed. The Jic is awesome if you are looking to get into a lot of good bulls (but nothing monstrous).

Congrats on your bull Tim. That hunt is a blast and one I will do again if I can scrape enough cash together. The sheer numbers of elk is incredible. You even get to see a few monster bucks if your lucky! Have a great day.

My group of 5 guys killed 5 good bulls from a 323 5x6 (Bob Robb) to an 8x8. We had some good quality bulls and all hunts were filmed. My hunt will be on Knight & Hale's show, 3 of the hunts will be on The Hunter's Journal, and B. Robb's will be on Gore-Tex's new show on OLN. Bob has a few articles that will be published about the hunt, and my piece in next August's SPORTS AFIELD will feature these hunts. Again, it was a neat experience with an incredible amount of bugling and good bulls sighted and passed. The hunts we were on were less expensive than many good hunts on private land in NM, UT, or good places in CO. People automatically think Apache Res. hunts in NM cost $25K. That isn't even close on the Jic. The tags for our hunt were $4750, by no means cheap, but compared to other places, the price is more than competitive.
