Arizona Draw results are online

34A is good. I live on the Northern edge of 34A and am down there all the time. Just got back from a quad ride down by the mine, I leave right from my house, lots of bucks in there.

13A as a non-resident for me. Max points must have helped.

I told Yukon Dall that I would draw for sure, given I have to other conflicting hunts. Easy decision on which hunt gets priority.

Good luck to those who drew.

Good luck!

Zip for me. I only got a Deer archery tag UT and A NM elk tag so at least I'm hunting.

Brian:

I went to Don's NR hunter-ed class last January to get the one extra hunter-ed point I needed to be in the max point pool.

Thanks to Don and his crew for a great class. Without the hunter-ed point, it is almost a statistical impossibility for a NR to draw the any of the premium tags in Units 12 and 13.

Thanks again Don.

I was in that class too, but my luck wasnt as good as yours. Thanks for the class Don Im sure it will pay off in the next few years. As for this year I went 0 for eight states in the draw, looks like a tough pack in hunt for me. Thats o.k though I love a challenge, me and my 11 points will be back next year.

BIGFIN, WAY TO GO...YOUR STRATEGY IS GREAT. I WAS IN DON'S CLASS IN JANUARY AS WELL.....MAYBE NEXT YEAR. LOOKING FOWARD TO THE STORY/PICS....POP A BIGGUN..CONGRATS....YD.

Of course I did not draw anything, but my buddy hit the jackpot. I MEAN JACKPOT! REALLY BIG BIG JACKPOT!!!! He drew a 13b Muledeer tag AND......AND..... a DESERT BIG HORN SHEEP TAG!!!!! I think I will be helping him out this November and December. Should be fun!

Thats incredible! I have never been one of those lucky few that always seem to get the good draws. Good luck to your buddy, I bet he will have a blast on those hunts.

Yes it is incredible. Yes he is going to have a great fall. But don't get me wrong, neither me or him have, prior to this draw , had lots of luck drawing great tags. He had Max points for both tags and is a resident. Heck we have been putting in for N.M. for an archery Elk tag and have never been drawn!!

I guess max points does make a difference. I am an AZ resident as well but I have never put in for the Premium deer hunts up north. I did get third choice archery elk in New mexico Unit 23 on my first try this year but the draw odds for that unit are much better than the more popular areas, also drew third choice rifle mule deer for the same unit so I am certainly happy that I got a few decent tags.
Would love to see some pictures if your buddy scores on either. Best of luck!

Guys:

Our next non-resident Hunter Ed class is January 08, 2008 here in Kingman at the Mohave Sportsman Club's 7 Mile Hill Range.

Congrats to all those that drew. To those in my last class. Remember when I said that ONE of you was going to draw a premium tag because you were in the class?

Seems to happen every year.

As for my luck? NOTHING as usual.

However, my younger brother drew an Arizona Strip deer tag with just 5 Bonus Points, while mt lady friend Page (Also Hunter Ed Instructor) drew the early west side Kaibab with 6 bonus points.

So all is not gloom and doom.

Being a resident does count for something..

Take care,

Don Martin
