Looks like I drew the muzzy tag! Anyone that can give me general info about this hunt/unit...thanks in advance.

General info: Big unit with lots of bulls. I don't know why but the muzzy hunt gets bad weather quite often. Lots of forest service land (the whole unit), easy access, and easy to moderate terrain. The whole unit is good and I have seen nice bulls everywhere. You should have no problems finding a decent bull hunting 6a. It's a beautiful unit and always my first archery choice (skunked this year). Send me a pm and I can help out a little more. good luck.

drew the same tag!! about time....i grew up in Mountainaire right out of Flagstaff and put in for 11 years before I moved away....only drawn once so I'm pumped....love the "mormon lake" tip! :) you shouldn't have any problem finding bulls, rag to decent, will need to do some scouting to find the big one though..

I've got the 6A North archery cow permit (I had such a good time last year on my archery cow hunt, that I thought I'd give that a try again...). My son got drawn for the 6A Junior cow elk hunt. I'm hoping that between scouting & my archery hunt, that I'll have a good chance of getting my boy on some.

I'm looking forward to chasing them a bit with my bow, but I'm mainly excited about trying to get my son on his first big game animal! ;-)

Good luck all!

do not forget the red hill area,I have hunted 6a several times in the past, back when you could get drawn, the big boys were up in that neck of the woods, its a harder hunt because it is in a nonmotorized area, only way in is by foot.email me at [email protected],I have some other favorite spots.
