Well it's finally here, the early muzzle loading season. I am really looking foward to how it turns out, we finally got some rain this week so the woods might quiet down a little. I have been seeing alot more bucks then previous years on scouting trips so it looks to be a promising season. Keep you all posted. B_B

BT Boy. Good luck this weekend. I will be out in the Minot peak unit doing a little scouting now that Weyerhaueser has dedided to open its land. Was starting to get a little worried. But all is well. Mother nature has finally showed up this year. Any ways good luck and bag a biggun.

LAST EDITED ON Oct-06-02 AT 07:22PM (MST)[p]Good luck to you! Unfortunately my season is over. I'll still be getting out and about with my hunting partner, while he trys to fill his tag. I've got a bear tag that I am going to use as an excuse to do some mid season deer scouting. I'll probably see some monsters. Isn't that how it works?
Hope you get a big one!

Hey Blacktail boy, did ya do any good? I saw a couple of nice bucks and a doe in downtown Silverdale Sunday. Let us know if anything comes along. Saturday is my big day. Wish me luck!

Hey guys! thanks for the posts. The weather stayed really warm this weekend. Kept the movement of animals to a minimum. Saw only one doe and a herd of elk. I hunt in the Minot peak area too! we have been back on the H line...let me know if you know the area because this is the first year I have been back in there. Early deer season ended yesterday and elk is still open till friday. I'll keep you posted. B_B

B.T.B. I am not sure where the H line is. I hunt the L and R lines. They are just outside of Elma. Are you further to the west? Boy we need some more rain. I just spent the last four days out there and only saw 5 does. With the clear nights and mild weather there is no reason for them to come out. I did hear a lot of shooting on opening morning. Either a lot of deer down or a lot of bad shots. Oh well maybe this weekend will be better.
