WA State Elk Drawing Results!

LAST EDITED ON Jul-12-06 AT 05:59PM (MST)[p]The WA state Lottery has taken place and I recieved an email from them with a link to check to see what I had won.

I opened the link and a loud laughing voice boomed across my speakers and said, "Yea Right!" "Go take your 1 preference point and buy a cup of coffee at a truckstop." " Dayton A? Peaches Ridge? THAT'S FUNNY!!" Then it proceeded to drink all my beer, cuss at my wife and crash my computer.

So to sum this up, I guess I am going to be elk hunting the Selkirks on the Opener. If I can't stump the odds in the lottery, guess i'll have to stump the odds of shooting a bull in GMU 113.

I hope you faired better than I in the WA state lottery.

I pulled the Observatory C any elk archery tag. Pretty sweet since I've also got the late New Mexico 16A archery tag. September will be a busy month!

I got lucky and drew the Bethel 360 unit. I have never hunted this unit and would aprreciate any comments are opinions? Any ideas?

I did draw a multi season elk tag earlier but for the life of me I cannot draw a big bull permit.

Put in for peaches ridge archery with 9 points and did not draw Again.

How many points does it take? SHEESH !!!

Outwest, I was going to call you to see if you drew but now I don't have to. Probably wouldn't be any different if we had gone with or original plan, maybe next year. Did you go muzz first choice? We went 0 fer on all our Wa permits. We will probably just hunt around Forks for the last week when we get back from N mexico. Scott

Hi Guys,
I drew the Peshastin Archery Any elk tag and my daughter(10) and dad(72) drew the Peshastin Rifle Antlerless tags. I will be scouting the heck out of it but would appreciate any info anyone would be willing to share. They drew the aug 15 hunt.
We all struck out on deer but the whitetails are pretty easy to find around home anyway.

Hey northwesthunter - are you the guy from Forks (sealice) with the Valles Caldera tag? I'm the guy from PP with the New Mexico 16A tag. Funny that we all patrol the same boards.

Yep thats me. I'm heading out the door to the Archery HOuse to get my new Bowtech setup. Have you found any other places with more info on N Mexico elk info pertaining to our hunts. I can't find much on the V Caldera other than there site. I do have a few contacts in the works thanks to MMuley guys.Fun site as is PP just not much hunt talk on PP. Talk later Scott

Sorry guys I posted the message wrong... My brother and a few friends have had that permit. Sand creek is usually good,also camas area. Last year around Sep 1, I was going over Blewett and saw a 340 to 360 bull chasing some cows when a smaller 6 point tried interfear. It seems the elk are scattered. A friend of mine hunts bears in the area and sees a couple big bulls each year. They tend to be a little quite there for some reason. Let me know if you need more help. Good luck.

Magnus100,I sent you a private message in your inbox and an email to the email address that you had registered on Monster Muleys. I drew the Peshastin permit in 2004 and took a 345" bull. I have some info so check your messages. Good luck on your hunt with the permit holders.

You should have a good hunt, I drew the same tag after 9 years as well. There is one other MM guy on here who drew it to. Can't wait till OCtober. Best of luck to you.
