Unit 8 AZ

My hunting partner drew a unit 8 archery tag for AZ for the end of the month. Being up here in SoOr he's curious as to what's going on down there. I told him I would ask the brain trust on MM if anyone knew anything. Are they bugling yet? Anybody seeing any bulls? Any big bulls? Any pre-rut/rut activity? Not looking for GPS coords. to a 390 , I think he just needs some encouragement that the big bulls are there. He's a little down because we lost track of a 360-370 bull we've been watching all summer here in OR and we're worried somebody poached him. Anyway, any help/encouragement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, guys/gals.

I spent 5 days in 8 this past week archery deer hunting and there is still plenty of elk and they are starting to herd up and some buggles are happening... It is a full moon right now and they are up most of the night. It has rained a lot in this area and there is water everywhere...

I was there last weekend also no water shortage in 8 did not hear any bugles where I was.Hope they start talking loud and clear when the archery opens.
