See Buckmania. It is not so much killing the big bull For Bessy as it is drawing the tag. For Bessy other then the fact he don't know how to shoot. Killing a bull would be a breeze!!

Hay Bobcatbess tell everyone why you haven't hunted the bull. I will tell them. The reason why he hasn't hunted him is because he lives on tribal lands. I know where he is to. He lives north west of the gulf ponds. I have been watching him just waiting for him to get a little bigger. Maybe I'll shot him next year. He might go 400 by then. He is pushing 380 this year.

I think they started selling cow permits because the state was selling them and if they were then they wanted part of the action. But it is just stupid that they are selling them now. In about five to ten years everybody is going to wonder where all the elk went. There should not be a cow or a doe shot anywhere. Go to the store and get some beef cause it will cost you just as much to go shoot one. Shooting a cow or a doe is not hunting. Remember when Hill creek was the best deer hunting in the country. That was before nutaveep whipped them out. They still haven't recovered. They are doing the same thing with the elk now. At least they are not letting them shoot cows on Dry mountain. You just cant beleive the differance. There are thousands of elk over there. We hunted up there is year and seen over 500 bulls on the mountain. I have video tape to prove it. We counted 59 bulls hanging out together, and you know they wont let little spikers and rags hang out with them. What a sight. Cows make bulls so don't shoot them. You wanted to know How I felt so I'm telling you. Was that you that cut the fence, if it was (WE SHOULD GET SOME GOLD OUT OF THE RHOADES MINE IN ROCK CREEK AND MAKE YOU A METAL.)

Bobcatbess there isn't very many people that think the way you do about shooting cows and doe's. The fish and game has got everybody fooled. Pretty soon they'll say hay where did all the animals go. GO FIGURE.. They did it to the deer and know their doing it to the elk. I wouldn't even know how to clean one of them, there wouldn't be a handle to pull on. The bull you seen at the fort was probably OJ'S (I DONT MEAN SIMPSON EITHER). He killed it in Hillcreek. It is supose to score in the 380's. Alex Cornpeach killed a 8x6 on dry, I think it was the biggest bull to come off the res this year.(next to ours). Them Cornpeach boy's are hunting machine's. PS. YOU GET THAT GOLD OUT OF THE RHOADES MINE AND YOU CAN BUY A HUNT ANY WHERE. YOU COUD EVEN HIRE THE DM BOYS. (TEN GUIDES AND HELECOPTER INCLUDED.) Fare chase all the way, un't it.

It was a big heavy 6 point with cheaters. Haven't scored it and don't care. If it looks good take it.( I would guess around 360".) Not as big as Cornpeach's.

any photos of the big boy? or photos of the sheds from last yr? id love to see what the biggest bull in the basin looks like. biggest ive seen up ther was a 5x5 that went 388. of dry. my best freind lives in mountain home. looks like he will be getting a new job with the f and g. as feild agent from hana to altimont. he will be the new guy that hands out the dep tags to land owners and counts the herds. im stoked the state is gona pay him to scout for me yr round.

so can you put up a link to the shed photos. or any others on the hoof? i hunt the basin exclusivly. never put in for draw hunts. or go to other aireas. its my best freinds back yrd. ther is moore than one huge bull in this country. most yrs we see 2 or 3 in the 370 to 380 range. i dont want to hunt this bull just see his bone. i want to see if his geens are over where i hunt. any unusual cariteristics in the bone. i hunt up bear wallow and squaw creek alot. also hunt paradise and chapita a bit.
