Utah CWMU Guildersleve?

I was going through the Utah proc & noticed a CWMU titled Guildersleve with the DWR listed as the contact. Please don't tell me the DWR is going to manage their own CWMU.

I know the guy that ran it in the past and it was a stand up operation. Couldn't figure that out either when I read it in the proc. It certainly went from being one of my top choices to not on my list for my LE deer application. The DWR running a CWMU how weird......

I called and talked to Wes and the DWR is not going to run this CWMU. The CWMU is in transition and the DWR is only going to take calls until the Operator is able to start receiving them (which may be by now, because I called Wes on the 5th of January). Wes will then forward the calls to whom ever is going to operate the CWMU.

I bet the reason the feller you mentioned is not running it this year is the same reason I got out of the business.

I had the same question cuz I've been trying to put in for that CWMU and draw myself.

I don't know what happened but last I knew the DWR was referring people to some guy and I think it was the landowner or his son or something.

Only problem is neither me or my buddies can get the guy to even call us back, even after repeated phone calls.

So I have no idea what the hell is going on there but near as I can tell the DWR isn't managing their own CWMU but they have started sending everyone to some guy who won't answer his phone.

We are going to keep trying and hopefully get an actual person who knows what a CWMU is... but so far none of us have had any luck... so I'm thinking time to find a different CWMU.

Suggestions, por favor...
