I tried a search but couldn't get it to work for some reason. I know that it has been discussed. I just got my bull back from the "Beetle guy" and want to whiten it up. Could you share some of your formulas with me?

Go to a beauty supply store and get some high percentage peroxide, it comes in a powder. You then mix it with water to make a paste. Spread it on, make sure to wear gloves, or you will look like MJ.

Get 40 percent peroxide. Also get some powdered whitener which is essentially powdered bleach. Both items can be found at beauty supply stores. Mix them in a non-metallic bowl to the consistecy of cool whip. Wear gloves and liberally coat the skull, avoiding any on the antlers. Seal the skull in a clear plastic bag. This seals in moisture. Set it in direct sunlight for a couple of days. Set it on a stark white surface. I use a sheet and set it up for a white backstop also. This step is VERY important. The surface MUST be white. Then rinse with mild vinegar water to neutralize. I've used this method numerous times, and it yeilds the best results I have seen. mtmuley

Thanks for the help. I'll try it today. The bull is an awesome looking freak. Big 6 on one side and a wierd 4 on the other.

I just used peroxide from wal mart (3%) and some powdered Tide laundry detergent (i think it had some bleach in it) and made a thin paste, soaked the skull cap in it, and srubbed it with a old toothbrush in the hard to reach spots. Turned out great!
