I have an archery elk tag for the Book Cliffs. I know the area pretty good but have a hard time getting out there very often being that I live on the wasatch front. Rain storms are sparatic out there and some areas get more rain than others. Has anyone been out thier lately to see what the feed and water looks like? The topic on antler growth has me a little concerned.

Thanks

Jerry, don't stress over antler growth. The elk on the Books will be just fine. Next year is when the concerns will be valid if we stay in this drought. Lots of feed for antler growth this year. Good luck on sticking an arrow thru both lungs this fall.

Hey Jerry,
That is a very fun hunt or atleast it was in 05 when I was there helping a friend on his archery elk hunt. It's a big unit, do you have an area in mind? If not, send me an email and I can direct you to some of the places we hunted.

Jerry,

I did not know you drew out! Congrats! That is awesome! I think the growth this year will be fine. The feed is there right now. I have been out on "my" unit and although the mtn.s are dry, the grass is green and the antlers are growing. Hope you get a big one! We will have to talk soon. Have a great day man! Should be a fun year!

Hey CAT I'll vouch for Jerry KICK DOWN SOME INFO
YOU TIGHT LIPPED CAN COLLECTOR.

Jerry get a hold of Adam he filmed my hunting buddy Lynn
when he had the tag a few years back.

Step up guys this is a good man that you can trust with info.

The mossback boys bought a bookcliffs tag at the SFW banquit in vernal last month. They know they didn,t get the big 7 that was in the place they got the 6 pointer. I could tell you guys that drew the late tag down there where he will be so that them guides wont have it to themselves.maybe a average joe can get him without big money. That would be good if that happens.
