My wife has a ML tag this year - we will size the bulls (take a few photos) up in Aug on the bow deer hunt. I kinda like to pick out her bull (option #1, #2, #3) early takes the pressure off as to what bull to shoot, also taking into consideration Mossback (and others) will kill the top bulls before the ML opens. Then look the bulls over again just before the hunt.
I am looking for a horse packer that will be in the area, my friend that normally brings his horses will be short of vacation time as I'm taking him to AK Moose hunting for 2 weeks. Then my nephew (my best Q packer) that had planned to hunt with us was just killed during a spring bear hunt. I'm sure I will have help in the area, but it's nice to have a horse around in that country if we need one.
