Average Bull

Not a monster like everyone is posting, but thought I'd post an average Bull. As much as I'd like to kill a monster I like my Elk meat to much to pass up a shot on a healthy animal. Nine days of hunting before getting a shot. Brutal conditions this year, hot and dry in Idaho. Good Luck all.

Don't ever apologize for an archery bull. Don't apologize for any bull for that matter. Nice work.

Actually if you look at harvest stats, the average hunter takes no Bull!! So that is quite the animal considering the alternative....Congrats on a fine Elk!

Got to agree man. Nothing average about slipping up nice and close and running an arrow through a bull elk... Many try, few succeed!! Well done man.

Great bull. Any animal is a trophy, who cars on the number. Especialy with a bow.

It's sad to see someone get on here with a bull that many of us would love to see during the season, and almost appologize for showing it.

And we wonder why hunting #'s are down. I think many are beginning to either focus on the # rather than the hunt itself.

Archeronly, awesome bull. I would love to see that guy come my season. I bet it was a blast. Congrats!

Not really apologizing just seems like everyone is wrapped up with #s. Quite framkly, I am greatful for every animal I havest regardly of size this is my 17th DIY public land bull with a bow some would go book some not I really don't care. Thanks for the positive comments.

Congrats on a great bull.Nothing wrong with that bull , no matter what . I'd love a poke at one like that...Again congrats on thanks for sharing....NM

I will tell you what, I would be happy with a bull that nice this year. That would make a nice European mount to go next to my buck from last year. Good job.

Send that bull my way will you. I have no elk tag this year. Would be mighty happy with him.
I hope the bull is okay though he looks like he is bleeding out the neck.

Hey dude,
congrats on a fine bull. Should provide some tasty table fare. Remember that any elk harvested with a bow is a genuine trophy. My most memorable hunts were not necissarily the ones where I killed my biggest animals. A couple of years ago while huntins in Idaho, I killed a cow elk after seventeen hard days of hunting, and I was darn thrilled to get her. No apologies needed here. thanks for posting

Congrats on a good bull. I hunted 12 extremely tough days in New Mexico before having to return to work with no success. Any elk is a good elk...and with a bow definitely something to be proud of. Congrats again!
