This is my uncles bull he shot on the Pahvant this year. Here is his story:
As most of you know, I love to hunt elk. Here are some photo's of a dream come true. I've been putting in for this area for fifteen years and finally drew the tag. I had the best help a guy could ever ask for. Special thanks to my family and friends (the cheering section) who helped me get this beautiful 375 bull and also to the support of others who unfortunately couldn't make the trip.
September 15th the opening day, spent the morning hiking to the bottom of a canyon trying to get a monster bull who was bugling up a storm. When we got to the bottom he was gone, sure glad he was we would of spent 3 days trying to get him out. Back at camp that afternoon Bryce mentioned he seen a big bull 3 days previous and he might be in the same area. So we started placing people in certain areas to spot for the evening. Didn't get very far when JC spotted this bad boy laying down in the pine trees. After a group discussion, we decided he was big enough and try to get him. He was about 1500 yards working he way down and a little closer. No way for me to get any closer, so I set up waiting for a good shot. Mike was at my side letting me know how far and also making sure it was the same bull. Finally he stopped and I asked Mike how far, he replied 600 yards, I checked the mark on my scope and pulled the trigger and to my surprise he dropped. After he dropped (this is the best part of all) everyone on the cliff behind me started cheering. Shot him @ 6:00 PM and back to camp @ 9:00 PM. Thanks again to all of you who helped pack him out 300 yards to the wheelers.
