Here are a few photos of my son's first mule deer buck. He's 14 years old and absolutely thrilled... and so is his dad. We hunted around the Mt. Timpanogas area opening morning this year and found this buck and his brother hanging out in a little pocket of aspens and brush. This buck presented my boy with two clear shots before he and his brother crossed over into another deep canyon. He shot over him with the first shot, but connected with the boiler room on the second shot. The laser rang finder measured the shot at 287 yards. The only thing he could say after walking up to it was "Wow dad, come look at this, COME LOOK AT THIS". He was shooting a 175 gr Nosler Partition bullet from a Browning BAR 7mm Rem. Mag The euphoria continued through the capeing and boneing process, but quickly ended after that.
