Scouting...

how's everyones scouting going this year? I havent even been out yet, but the deer im after is still there, my hunting buddy saw him last weekend with three other big bucks by the looks of the growth so far....how's everyone else fairing?

Hey mark...I got off work early the other day and jetted out to the woods. Saw allot of does and two small bucks. Nothing of much size, but over all I am seeing allot of deer for this time of year. A buddy of mine that works out at the gym with me is a county surveyer and asked me to go with him this morning to look at this buck they have been seeing. The place they are surveying is right next to a huge 60 acer reserve. Well after about 10 minutes we spoted him, He was a HUGE and HEAVY 4x4 with at least 2 inch eye guards. I'm not that good on judging deer but I am guessing he was at least 20" high and about 3 inches past his ears. He was by far the biggest blktail I have ever seen. I'm going to go with a camera soon as I can..I'll try and post one of his pictures.

Been out a couple of times here lately. The drought and hot weather makes it tough. I did manage to glass up two nice bucks, both of which would book. We'll see what the season holds. Pray for rain!
