Pahvant late hunt

My friend drew this tag this year and has heard nothing positive. It seems like everyone he talks to tells him to eat the money and turn the tag in. Is this hunt really that bad? Im not looking for any ones special spot, just wanting to hear some success stories or unsucessful stories from this hunt. Thanks in advance, doublebrow

There's no such thing as a bad hunt on the Pahvant, the late hunt is tougher though. I had 2 friends draw that tag in 2006, both took bulls, a 317 and a 340. We didn't have a hard time finding bulls, just bulls that were big enough. My advice would be to get in shape! Those bulls can live in some rough country that time of the year! Saw another guy get a 350 class bull. We did see some big bulls just couldn't close the deal. Pm me for more info if you want.

Seems to me that if you're an above average hunter the late hunts (in Utah) may offer a better chance at a monster bull than the rut hunts. Get good with your glass, get in shape, know where the bulls should be, and you should do fine!

Probably not going to be easy, but I'd say the opportunity is there for a huge bull.

Pahvant Late Hunt

Remember were talking about the Pahvant Here, the big boys are there your just going to have to hunt alot harder because they wont be bugling at every cow elk in hearing distance! I know of a 370 that was killed last year, hard hunt but it can be done!
