Anybody have any success hunting up around Smith and Morehouse? I'm thinking about going up past the Morehouse and up the weeper Canyon hunting up around the Fish Lake area. Not asking for any honey holes just wondering what your experiences have been like up there.

I hunted up there one year. Stayed to the left of the Fish Lake trail. Walked back up in there a ways...........saw a couple blue grouse and 13 other hunters. OVER HUNTED. TOO MANY PEOPLE. Nice area though......for what its worth.

Lot of it depends on what season you are looking at. Archery, Muzzle or rifle. I have hunted up there by Smith and Morehouse a couple of times with my bow.

Way too many hunters! Nice scenery if that's what you after but elk hunting..not so great.
