New crop arriving

Was out looking for sheds this weekend around Strawberry Res. (didn't find anything) and came up on a cow that had just given birth to a calf. She was licking the afterbirth off and my girlfriend and I watched the little feller stand for the first time. We would have taken a picture or two but didn't bring the camera either, won't let that happen again. When my sunburn heals we will be out again looking for that elusive set of bull sheds.

Wow, I thought Elk start calving in June. Wondering if the cow got bred last August? Should be a big calf come winter!

No sheds around Strawberry? Wow thats weird, I wonder if the 10 feet of snow on the ground up there this winter had anything to do with that.
