Which Colorado Uint would you try?

Did not draw Col. mule deer thinking about elk over the counter but know nothing on where to go or even get started, looking for help? Thanks in advance.

i posted about the same ??? when i first joined on here.got a lot of the same answers Colorado has a ton of elk and a ton of hunters.if you are in shape look for a wilderness area where a lot of people will not put the effort into going.the otc units get a lot of pressure but they can't all hide on private. lots of good advice on here .

LAST EDITED ON Jun-24-08 AT 05:22AM (MST)[p]Most units in NW Colorado hold good numbers of elk,but you need to hike in 2-3 miles to get into good hunting.You need to have a plan on getting your animal out ,elk are big and it is alot of work to pack one out,especially in areas that you can hardly get arround in to hunt.
