Close Encounter

While hunting big bulls on the fishlake I had a lot of close encounters like this one. Too bad my wife didn't get a spike tag. Oh well she had a great time filming small and big bulls.

In July I was at Fishlake for a week and we seen some dandy bulls up just north and west of Mt. Terrel, the best night we had 39 bulls in 1 herd. Hope you have and fantastic high.

We have seen over 20 bulls. The first day I passed on a 340 bull because he was in velvet. It was at 20 yards. I hope I don't regret it! We saw one bull that was an awesome 7X6 but blew the stalk when we were about 50 yards away. I'll be back down to hunt the last two weeks.

You passed on him because he was in velvet? Man not many people can say they killed a big bull elk in full velvet. Even if you didnt like it you could have striped the velvet and staind the antlers. Oh well I guess to each his own, I would LOVE to kill a big one like that in full Velvet.
