My wife and I bought a camera last year. I still have a lot of learning to do, but I'm getting there. Thought I'd share some of last year's field trips with anyone who is interested.
Visited maw & paw in S Ut during Christmas & took this pic. One-horn-left. He made it through last season. Something for S region hunters to look forward to.
"My first buck." With a camera anyway. This was the 2nd day of the muzz hunt. He was about 100 yds away. Found out my zoom makes great optics for deciding if a deer is a buck or doe. I passed up the gun shot. Left him for a another hunter or maybe I'll get him next year. (2 yr olds are best for the pot!)
Took a young hunter on the Northern Rifle opener. He got this not-so-young 'un within the first hour. Better than anything I've ever tagged in my 13 hunts. The shooter was gracious enough to let me pose with it while he snapped a pic. (I must add I pointed this deer out to the shooter!)
A little fuzzy, but it shows the contrast of a yearling vs a mature buck. The little one started this fight. It didn't last long.
Even fuzzier. I've got a lot to learn.
A little something for the Central Utah boys to think about. This is in Spanish Fork Canyon. I got the shakes trying to snap this shot. Photography might be a good way to learn how to control buck fever!
Some of my favorite places.
Thanks for viewing.
