Well about 2 hours ago I got a call from the UDWR saying someone had turned their tag in and I was next in line. I'm pretty stoked but nervous at the same time. I was diagnosed with cancer 7 months ago and figured even though I have 11 points I better take the tag. Treatment is keeping it in check so far but who knows what tomorrow will bring. I know the unit pretty well as I have been a dedicated hunter on it up until 2 years ago. I'm hoping someone reads this post who has spent some time on the Dutton this year and has some encouraging advice. From the few posts ive read it hasn't been a great year. I'm lucky to have my wife enjoy hunting as much as I do and 4 young boys who are pretty jacked! Thanks in advance to those kind enough to lend a whisper!

Hey, congrats to you. Wish I knew the unit. I'd help you out if I did. Some people on here will give you some advice. Hope you kill a stud. Keep us posted and good luck to you.

I'm sorry, I know nothing of the Dutton. Wish I did as I'll have time to spare during the late hunt for the first time in ten years. Take the tag, take them boys and go have fun! The late hunts can be a riot. Best of luck to you on the hunt and your battle as well. Hoping you whack a dandy.

we had spike tags and hunted there we hunted above Circleville saw a really nice bull private message me and i will tell you exactly where he is hanging at saw him several days

thanks to the both of you and I will be in contact. I'm heading out for the general deer hunt today and will get with you guys once I'm back. Thankfully I have 3 cousins and an uncle who have all said they'll be with me for the whole hunt. I'm sure looking forward to it. This may be my only limited entry hunt so I want to make the most of it and get a quality bull!

Sniper1 why do you feel the need to kick a guy while he's down? I hope your nicer to that pretty new wife of yours, I expect nothing less from the Kingpin!

Ive been counting down the days for this hunt and am pretty excited. If I eat tag soup I'm prepared to do that, but with my circumstances I'm going for the GOLD! Go big or go home!

I doubt you'll eat tag soup. I just got back from the Deer hunt on Dutton I saw bulls every day. A couple of them were huge.
